The second edition of Rea! Art Fair took place from 4 to 6 September 2021, at the Fabbrica del Vapore (Milan), and returned to propose an idea of ​​a fair that focuses on young and independent artists - not yet represented by galleries - to offer them a very first platform to meet with collectors, to get an introduction to the art market and gallery system. The event, ideated and directed by a team of twelve young female entrepreneurs, was supported by the Municipality of Milan and the Cariplo Foundation.

 

The fair presented the works of 100 Italian and international artists, selected by a committee composed of emerging curators Maria Myasnikova, Milena Zanetti, Laura Pieri, Paola Shiamtani, and Pelin Zeytinci. The curatorial approach structured the event as a single, organic, exhibition that is an interactive and multimedia flow, divided into seven sections: painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, installation, performance and street art.

 

For 2021, ReA! awarded a total of 12 artists 3 prizes: “Artsted Art Prize” and “ReA! Art Prize”, and the 2021 Edition “Look Forward” special prize. The two awards were chaired by an external jury composed of Irene Cassina (gallerist, co-founder of Cassina Projects), Marco Enrico Giacomelli (deputy director of Artribune), Chiara Nuzzi (curator, ICA Milano) and Luca Zuccala (journalist, deputy director of Artslife , director of State Of Milan).
